Director of External Affairs, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union
Dan leads legislative and policy efforts representing our roughly 20,000 family farm and ranch members. He has a diverse background in agriculture having raised livestock, practiced meat processing, and produced specialty crops. He is passionate about creating opportunities with the hope of maintaining the stewardship of our working lands and livelihoods. When he is not working, he enjoys time with his family and spends as much time as possible on his family cow-calf operation.
Originally from Seattle, Clinton spent most of his career working for social-service non-profits in the Pacific Northwest. In 2017 he and his family relocated to Colorado where he has spent the last four years working with farmers and ranchers as the Executive Director of Poudre Valley Community Farms: a farmland cooperative, based in Fort Collins. Now the program director for AgWell, his goal is to build a more connected, community-focused, collaborative, and robust support system for the agricultural community here in the Rocky Mountain Region.”
Social media and Communications
LeeAnne spent 20 years in K-12 public education, first teaching high school Spanish classes and later moving into K-12 agricultural education. While teaching, she and her husband also ran a small market farm out of Berthoud, Colorado. Currently, LeeAnne manages Agwell’s website and social media and also does contract communication work for local farms and agricultural businesses.
A Colorado native, Dakotah currently resides in Steamboat Springs, where she has been active in the agricultural community, helping establish two farms, the permaculture garden at Colorado Mountain College, and where has assisted with the Yampa Valley Autism Program gardening program. An avid believer in the power of addressing mental health issues, Dakotah has been on a path of recovery from substance abuse for the past two and a half years and is excited about channeling her passion and experience into her role as Program Assistant for AgWell.
